On December 29, KBS 2TV’s “Music Bank” didn’t release a new episode, but instead, the show unveiled its newest weekly winner list.
According to its website, the Music Bank K-Chart recorded from December 18 to 24 was dominated by none other than EXO’s “First Snow,” which garnered a total of 4,543 votes. This achievement marks the first-ever music show win for “First Snow.”
Meanwhile, EXO also entered a fierce competition with fellow labelmates Red Velvet and Girls’ Generation Taeyeon, who racked up 3,313 points in second place with “Chill Kill,” and 2,478 points in third place with “To. X,” respectively.
Outside of music shows, “First Snow” also saw a surge across music charts. After being released in December 2013, the song ascended to No. 1 on Melon’s Top 100 chart.
Meanwhile, on the Circle Charts (formerly known as Gaon Chart), the song also made it on the list running from December 17 to 23. According to Circle Chart, “First Snow” received a double crown by placing No. 1 in both the overall digital chart, as well as the streaming chart.
The song is from EXO’s first-ever winter special album “Miracles in December,” which was released on December 9, 2013, alongside its title track of the same name. The album also re-enters the Korean charts every year during the holidays.
