On May 27, the group’s label, YG Entertainment, confirmed that the “DDU-DU DDU-DU” music video exceeded 2.2 billion views on YouTube around 3:12 pm, KST. “DDU-DU DDU-DU” is the title track of BLACKPINK’s first mini-album, “SQUARE UP.” The music video, famous for its addictive chorus and iconic choreography, remains the most-watched K-pop group music video globally since 2018. The track also dominated domestic and global charts, achieving “perfect all-kill” and ranking 40th on the Billboard 200 and 50th on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US, the highest ranking for a K-pop girl group at that time.

“DDU-DU DDU-DU” also celebrates a cumulative streaming count, about to reach 700 million on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform.
