I-DLE is a South Korean girl group formed by Cube Entertainment in 2018. The group currently consists of five members: Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua.
Group History
(G)I-DLE debuted on May 2, 2018, with their first mini-album “I Am” and the title track “LATATA”. Initially a six-member group, Soojin departed in August 2021 due to controversy. The group has since continued as a quintet.Key milestones in their career include:
- August 2018: Released digital single “HANN (Alone)”
- November 2018: Soyeon and Miyeon participated in League of Legends’ virtual group K/DA
- 2019: Participated in Mnet’s “Queendom” and released “Lion”
- 2020: Released EP “I Trust” and summer single “DUMDi DUMDi”
- 2022: Released first studio album “I Never Die” with hit single “Tomboy”
- 2023: Released “Queencard,” their third consecutive #1 single in South Korea
- 2024: Released second studio album “2”
