OMG, Jennie’s new album Ruby is literally everything I’ve been waiting for and more! As a BLINK and a huge Jennie stan, I was counting down the days until March 7th, and now that it’s finally here, I can’t stop listening. Seriously, this album is a total slay from start to finish, and I feel like Jennie just unlocked a whole new level as a solo artist.
First off, the collabs are insane. Like, Dua Lipa, Childish Gambino, Doechii, Dominic Fike, FKJ, and Kali Uchis all on one album? Jennie really said “global queen” and meant it. Every feature fits so perfectly, but Jennie’s voice and style still shine the brightest. The lead single “Mantra” has been stuck in my head since it dropped, and the way it blew up on the charts just proves how iconic she is. And don’t even get me started on “Love Hangover” with Dominic Fike-it’s such a vibe for late-night drives.
What I love most about Ruby is how personal it feels. Jennie really opens up about her life, her relationships, and even her struggles with fame. Songs like “Seoul City” and “Twin” are so raw and emotional, I actually teared up listening to them. You can tell she put her heart into every lyric, and it makes the album feel super relatable, even though she’s a superstar. “F.T.S.” and “Filter” are total confidence boosters too-they make me want to take on the world!
Visually, Jennie’s era is just as stunning. Her red hair in the teaser video broke the internet, and every outfit she’s worn so far is pure “it girl” energy. Fans all over social media are obsessed, and I keep seeing edits and reactions everywhere. Everyone’s saying how Jennie never disappoints and always brings quality, and I 100% agree. She’s not just following trends-she’s setting them.
The album is also so versatile. There’s pop, R&B, hip-hop, and even some alternative vibes. Every song flows into the next, but each one has its own unique sound. It’s like Jennie is showing us every side of herself, and I love getting to know her more through her music.
Honestly, Ruby is a masterpiece. Jennie’s vocals, the production, the collabs, the visuals-everything is just perfect. She’s proved she’s not just a member of BLACKPINK, but a true solo superstar. I’m so proud to be her fan, and I can’t wait to see what she does next. If you haven’t listened yet, what are you even doing? Stream Ruby now and join the hype! – Kpoppie Review Team
