Miyeon, the acclaimed vocalist of the newly rebranded K-pop group i-dle, graces the digital cover of Dazed Korea’s May 2025 issue, captivating fans with her elegance and versatility. The cover, unveiled on May 8, showcases Miyeon in a stunning collaboration with luxury brand Jimmy Choo, drawing widespread praise from fans for her ability to embody both sophistication and modernity. Comments on social media and fan forums celebrate her beauty and magnetic presence, with admirers calling her “absolutely gorgeous” and “stunning,” reaffirming her status as a leading figure in the K-pop world.
This high-profile appearance comes at a pivotal moment for both Miyeon and her group. Earlier this month, the group formerly known as (G)I-DLE officially adopted the new name “i-dle,” marking their seventh anniversary with a transformative rebrand. The decision to drop the “G”-which stood for “girl”-and the Korean word “yeoja” (female) from their name signals a move towards a broader, more inclusive identity, aiming to transcend gender-based labels and embrace limitless creative possibilities. . Cube Entertainment, the group’s agency, introduced a fresh logo and symbol to accompany the new name, emphasizing the unity and distinctiveness of the five members.
To commemorate this new chapter, i-dle released a special mini album, “We Are I-dle,” featuring nine re-recorded versions of their iconic hits, including “LATATA,” “Uh-Oh,” and “Oh My God”. The group also teased a highly anticipated comeback set for May 19, further fueling excitement among their global fanbase.
Miyeon herself continues to expand her artistic horizons. In April, she released “Glow Up,” a duet with Chinese singer Jike Junyi, as part of the Hearts’ Series music project. The track, available in both solo and duet versions, carries a message of self-love and empowerment, resonating with listeners across borders. Miyeon described the collaboration as “unforgettable,” expressing excitement about connecting with fans through new music and performances.
As i-dle embarks on this bold new era, Miyeon’s presence on Dazed Korea’s cover and her recent musical ventures underscore her role as a multifaceted artist at the forefront of K-pop’s ongoing evolution. With a fresh identity, renewed creative vision, and unwavering support from fans, both Miyeon and i-dle are poised to shape the next chapter of their remarkable journey.
