Anna of MEOVV takes center stage as the digital cover model for W Korea’s much-anticipated August 2025 issue in a special collaboration with the globally renowned house of FENDI. As vibrant preview images circulate online, anticipation among K-pop fans and fashion enthusiasts continues to surge—not just for Anna’s artistic vision on display, but also for the continued recognition of MEOVV’s innovative rise in the music and fashion spheres.
MEOVV, a five-member group formed under THEBLACKLABEL, consists of Sooin, Gawon, Anna, Narin, and Ella, each bringing their unique artistry and personalities to the collective. The group burst onto the scene in September 2024 with their digital debut single “Meow,” captivating audiences with a bold and feline-inspired identity. Their group name, an acronym for “My Eyes Open VVide,” hints at their approach to music and visuals: wide-eyed, dynamic, and multifaceted. Since their debut, MEOVV has earned additional international recognition with a Japanese debut in July 2025 and a growing global fandom affectionately called PAWMPAWM—a portmanteau that symbolizes the group’s endearing appeal and playful energy.
Anna, born Tanaka Anna in Toyama, Japan, is known not only as MEOVV’s versatile sub-vocalist but also as a successful model prior to her idol career. Since childhood, she’s graced Japanese fashion magazines and even held the ‘Miss Seventeen’ title, bringing a decade of media experience to her idol persona. Anna’s stylish evolution, blending Japanese and Korean cultural influences, makes her an ideal ambassador for this latest W Korea and FENDI collaboration.
W Korea itself has long held a special place at the intersection of high fashion and pop culture. As the Korean offshoot of the iconic W Magazine, its pages have profiled iconic global models and designers while consistently serving as an incubator for the country’s K-pop stars and idol groups. In recent years, exclusive digital cover shoots and pictorials with major groups like BLACKPINK, EXO, and NewJeans have helped W Korea build a dedicated K-pop following. The magazine’s ability to present idols not just as entertainers, but as trendsetters and creative collaborators, has made each issue—especially digital covers—a talking point across fandoms and social media.
This partnership—featuring Anna in FENDI’s latest looks—underscores the growing synergy between Korean music powerhouses and luxury fashion brands. The pictorial is expected to showcase cutting-edge styling and behind-the-scenes stories that reflect both the artistry of MEOVV and the creative direction of FENDI. As W Korea continues to blur the boundaries between East Asian fashion, global runway aesthetics, and the irresistible charisma of K-pop, Anna’s feature will likely become a touchstone for emerging collaborations between idols and luxury houses, followed closely by fans eager for the next boundary-breaking moment.
