BTS member Jimin has made waves in the K-pop scene with his latest title track, “Who,” from his second solo album, MUSE. Released on July 19, 2024, “Who” has set a remarkable record as the fastest K-pop solo track of 2024 to surpass 200 million streams on Spotify, showcasing Jimin’s immense popularity and the global appeal of his music.
The song, which marks Jimin’s first solo English single, explores themes of love and longing, resonating deeply with fans. Within just ten hours and fifteen minutes of its release, “Who” reached the No. 1 spot on iTunes in over 110 countries, including major markets like the United States and the United Kingdom. This achievement highlights Jimin’s ability to connect with audiences worldwide, even as he fulfills his military service obligations.
MUSE is a significant departure from Jimin’s previous work, blending various genres such as R&B, hip-hop, and Latin influences. The album features seven tracks, with “Who” and “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” as its main singles. Critics have praised Jimin for his artistic growth, noting that he co-wrote six out of the seven songs, allowing for a more personal touch in his music.
The excitement surrounding MUSE and its tracks reflects the strong bond between Jimin and his supporters, who eagerly anticipate his return from military service. As Jimin continues to break records and push musical boundaries, his journey as a solo artist is just beginning, and fans are here for every moment of it.
