K-pop fans, listen up! There’s been some serious drama involving Cravity, one of your favorite boy bands. Starship Entertainment, Cravity’s agency, has issued a heartfelt apology after a troubling incident at Gimpo International Airport.
On June 23, as Cravity returned from their promotional events in Japan, a security guard allegedly assaulted a teenage fan. According to reports, the fan was struck in the head by the guard, who then mocked her, calling her “mentally challenged” when she demanded an explanation.
The incident was caught on video, where the guard can be heard yelling, “Out of the way,” followed by the fan’s exclamation of “Ouch” as she was pushed aside. The fan later went to the hospital and was diagnosed with a concussion due to the assault.
Starship Entertainment quickly responded by terminating their contract with the security firm responsible for the incident. They also promised to implement new security protocols to ensure the safety of both fans and artists in the future.
In their official statement, they expressed deep regret for the incident and assured fans that measures are being taken to prevent such occurrences.
This isn’t the first time excessive security measures have caused problems in the K-pop world. Similar incidents have occurred with other celebrities, prompting calls for better behavior from private security firms at airports.
