Half a year after its release, NewJeans’ “Get Up” has reached an exciting new milestone on the Billboard 200!
Last year, NewJeans’ mini album “Get Up” made history by debuting at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart, making them the fastest female K-pop artist ever to enter the chart.
Six months later, the EP is still going strong on the Billboard 200: for the week ending on January 20, “Get Up” came in at No. 176, marking its 25th consecutive week on the chart.
“Get Up” is now the second K-pop girl group album ever to spend 25 weeks on the Billboard 200, following BLACKPINK’s 2020 album “THE ALBUM” (which recorded a 26-week run on the chart).
NewJeans is also only the third K-pop artist in history to chart an album for 25 weeks, following BTS and BLACKPINK.
Outside of the Billboard 200, “Get Up” climbed back up to No. 2 on Billboard’s World Albums chart this week, in addition to ranking No. 17 on the Top Current Album Sales chart and No. 22 on the Top Album Sales chart. “Get Up” also re-entered the Tastemaker Albums chart at No. 15.
