On January 12, agency ADOR officially announced that NewJeans has sold a total of 2,028,991 copies of their second mini album “Get Up” at the end of December 2023, according to the data from Circle Chart.
With this feat, NewJeans also became the fastest female K-pop artist to achieve the double-million seller title. This only means that the group has secured the accomplishment in just one year and five months. NewJeans made their debut on July 22, 2022.
The previous record of this feat belonged to SM Entertainment’s fourth-gen representative girl group aespa. The quartet managed to attain “double-million” seller status in 2023 with their third mini album “MY WORLD,” which sold over 2,011,388 copies.
