NCT (Neo Culture Technology) is a South Korean boy group formed by SM Entertainment. Debuting in 2016, NCT has a unique concept of having an unlimited number of members divided into multiple sub-units.
Group History
NCT debuted in 2016 with three sub-units: NCT U, NCT 127, and NCT Dream. Over the years, they’ve added more sub-units and members:
- 2016: NCT U, NCT 127, and NCT Dream debut
- 2019: WayV debuts as NCT’s Chinese sub-unit
- 2023: NCT DoJaeJung debuts
- 2024: NCT Wish debuts as the final sub-unit
Notable events:
- 2018: First full-group project “NCT 2018 Empathy”
- 2020: Second full-group project “NCT 2020 Resonance”
- 2021: Third full-group project “NCT 2021 Universe”
- 2023: Lucas officially leaves the group
