BABYMONSTER is a South Korean girl group formed by YG Entertainment. The group consists of seven members: Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Rami, Rora, and Chiquita.
Group History
BABYMONSTER was created through a survival reality program called “Last Evaluation.” They made their debut on November 27, 2023, with the digital single “Batter Up.” Initially, they debuted as a six-member group, with Ahyeon on hiatus due to health reasons.The group’s debut was highly successful, with “Batter Up” achieving a record-breaking 22.59 million views within 24 hours, making it the most-viewed K-pop debut song in a day. They continued to set records, reaching 50 million views in four days, 100 million in 18 days, and 200 million in 53 days.On April 1, 2024, BABYMONSTER released their first mini-album “BABYMONS7ER,” marking their official debut as a full seven-member group with Ahyeon’s return.
