About JUNNY

JUNNY, born Kim Hyeong-Jun (주니), is a Korean-Canadian singer-songwriter and producer known for his smooth R&B style and deeply introspective lyrics. Raised in Vancouver, Canada, he moved to Seoul to fully pursue his music ambitions and is currently signed to MAUVE Company. JUNNY is bilingual, creating music in both English and Korean, and has built a reputation not only as an artist but also as a prominent songwriter for other K-pop acts like EXO’s Kai, NCT Dream, WayV, and IU. JUNNY began his musical journey as a teenager and officially debuted in 2017 with the EP “Monochrome”.​

Career and History

JUNNY initially explored classical vocal studies and guitar before switching his focus to songwriting and production during his college years in Canada. He began releasing music independently, gradually gaining attention in South Korea, which led to key collaborations and his eventual move to Seoul in 2018. Since then, he’s worked both as a soloist and behind the scenes for some of K-pop’s top stars. His artistry is recognized for its vulnerability and a unique blend of Western and Korean contemporary music styles.​
