Singer-songwriter Bang Ye-dam is back with his highly anticipated second EP, “Good Vibes,” released on August 29, 2024. This marks his first musical offering in nine months, following his debut EP “Only One” in November 2023. Bang expressed his excitement about returning to the music scene, stating, “It feels good to be back with an EP in quite a while. I lost myself for a few months preparing to return with this project, and it feels relieving that it is finally out”.
The “Good Vibes” EP features six tracks, including the lead single “O-HE,” along with “Lovey,” “We Good,” “Lovin’ Ya,” “Fallin’,” and “T.M.B.” Bang selected “O-HE” as the lead track because he believes it showcases his strengths throughout the song. He aims to present a more mature sound compared to his previous work, focusing heavily on the arrangements of the songs.
Known for his involvement in writing and producing his music, Bang Ye-dam has taken a hands-on approach with “Good Vibes,” contributing to the lyrics, arrangement, and background vocals. Since leaving the boy band Treasure and YG Entertainment in late 2022, he has sought to establish his identity as a solo artist. Bang hopes listeners will recognize his growth and associate him with a specific musical style.
As fans dive into “Good Vibes,” they can expect a blend of R&B influences and heartfelt lyrics, reflecting Bang’s artistic evolution. With this new release, he aims to spread positivity and connect with his audience on a deeper level, inviting them to experience the good vibes he has crafted.
