BLACKPINK’s Lisa has made history as the first K-pop solo artist to grace the cover of ELLE’s significant September issue, a major milestone in the fashion and music worlds. The cover was revealed on August 12, 2024, and features stunning images of Lisa that highlight her versatility and style, capturing the attention of fans and fashion enthusiasts alike.
In her interview with ELLE, Lisa shared insights into her upcoming solo project, which marks a new chapter in her career. This album will be released under her own management company, Lloud Co., in partnership with RCA Records, allowing her greater creative control compared to her previous work. “I think what I’ve learned from last time is me, myself, saying what I like and what I don’t like,” she explained, emphasizing the importance of her personal input in her music.
Fans can also look forward to seeing Lisa perform at the Global Citizen Festival on September 28, where she will co-headline alongside major artists like Post Malone and Doja Cat. This festival appearance will be her first solo show, adding to the excitement surrounding her new music.
Despite her solo endeavors, Lisa reassured fans that BLACKPINK is not going anywhere. All four members have renewed their contracts for future group activities, with plans for a potential tour in 2025. “Of course we’re continuing, for sure. We’re so proud of BLACKPINK, and I love BLACKPINK,” she stated, reassuring fans that their bond remains strong.
Lisa’s cover story and upcoming projects reflect her evolution as an artist and her commitment to both her solo career and her group, making her a role model for fans around the world. With her unique blend of talent and charisma, Lisa continues to break barriers and inspire a new generation of artists.
