According to their agency FNC Entertainment, P1Harmony will be attending the American Country Music Awards (ACMAs) on Thursday, the first time a K-pop boyband has done so.
Founded in 1966, the ACMAs is a prestigious country music awards ceremony that annually honours artists and works that have had a significant impact on the country music scene. More than 7.7 million viewers watched the 2023 show.
This year’s ceremony features Jelly Roll, Post Malone and Jason Aldean. Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Nate Smith and Avril Lavigne will also perform.
In February last year, P1Harmony performed at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee. This was the first time that a K-pop boyband had performed at the country music landmark.
P1Harmony are currently on their second world tour, ‘P1ustage H: UTOP1A’, and will be performing at The Governors Ball Music Festival 2024 in New York on the 8th of June, which is also a first for a K-pop boy band.
