K-pop newcomers 8TURN, who will be holding their first solo concert in Japan at Shibuya Spotify O-EAST today, Wednesday 6 March, released their Japanese debut single “RU-PUM PUM Japanese ver.” at midnight today.
At the same time, a music video for “RU-PUM PUM Japanese ver.” was released on 8TURN’s official YouTube channel, featuring a special Japanese arrangement of “RU-PUM PUM”, the title track from their third mini album “STUNNING”, which was released on Tuesday 9th January. RU-PUM PUM Japanese ver.” is the first time that all 8TURN members have sung in Japanese, and is an addictive song full of energy.
8TURN’s unique “confidence” and “coolness” are expressed in the charm of the original song, especially in the dance part of the music video. The dance part of the music video is a perfect example of 8TURN’s performance, which won the Blooming Performance Group Award at the Hanteo Music Awards 2023 held on the 17th and 18th of February by HANTEO GLOBAL, a global real-time music chart operator in South Korea. 8TURN’s performance skills are on full display.
