BLACKPINK’s Jennie has made K-pop history in the United Kingdom!
On March 8 local time, the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) announced that “One of the Girls,” Jennie’s collab with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp (from their HBO series “The Idol”), had received an official BRIT silver certification.
According to the BPI’s certification thresholds, singles are certified silver at 200,000 units sold, while albums are certified silver at 60,000 units sold.
Jennie is now the first female K-pop soloist ever to have a single certified silver in the United Kingdom—and only the third Korean solo artist overall, following PSY and BTS’s Jungkook.
