Versace just got a new global brand ambassador, and it’s none other than NingNing of the K-pop group aespa.
On February 8, the Italian luxury label took to Instagram to announce the big news. In a black and white photo, NingNing wears a leather suit dress, fastened by buttons adorned with Versace’s signature Medusa head.
Versace’s very own Donatella Versace also shared the news along with a photo of herself and NingNing from the Versace Icons Dinner in Shanghai last October. In the picture, Donatella wears an all-white look with a bodycon dress, knee-high heeled boots, and a shoulder bag while NingNing wears all-black look with a slinky sequined slip dress, strappy heels, and handbag. Along with the images, Donatella shared a heartfelt message about NingNing’s new role in the caption. She wrote, “Today, NingNing joins our Versace family as a Global Brand Ambassador. She is not only a brilliantly talented star, she is a wonderful person. She has a strong, confident vision, incredible energy and talent and she looks amazing wearing our clothes.”
NingNing now joins an incredible line-up of ambassadors for the brand. Also based in Seoul, South Korea, Stray Kids’ Hyunjin became a Versace global ambassador in July 2023. Dua Lipa has been a longtime ambassador as well. She even made her runway debut at the Spring/Summer 2022 show during Milan Fashion Week and created a special collection with the brand last year.
