Jimin of BTS added another record as his latest digital single “Closer Than This” topped the iTunes top songs chart in 116 regions so far.
He is the first-ever artist to have four songs that achieved the feat.
The musician released “Closer Than This” in December, offering consolation to fans who missed him after he enlisted.
“Like Crazy,” the main track from his first solo album “Face” and the first chart-topper on Billboard’s Hot 100 from a K-pop solo act, while “With You,” a drama theme song, topped iTunes top songs chart in all 119 regions. “Filter,” his solo song from the band’s fourth studio album, was No. 1 in 118.
Meanwhile, he said hello to fans via a fan community platform last week in time for the Lunar New Year holidays.
