Singer Park Bo-ram has died of alcohol poisoning, the Namyangju Nambu District Prosecutor’s Office announced on Thursday.
Park’s autopsy report attributed her death to “acute alcohol poisoning,” a state where a victim’s blood alcohol level reaches dangerous levels. It usually occurs after consuming large amounts of alcohol in a short period of time.
Park died at the age of 30 on the night of April 11 after friends found her unconscious in a bathroom in Namyangju, Gyeonggi, where she’d been drinking.
The singer was in poor health at the time of her death, which police say was caused by fatty liver disease and liver lesions.
Friends, family, colleagues and members of the industry paid their respects to Park Bo Ram at the funeral hall of Seoul Asan Hospital. Xanadu Entertainment’s autopsy is expected to clarify her death amid speculation. The legacy of Park Bo Ram began with “SuperStar K2” before she went on to debut in 2014 with “Beautiful”.
Your memories will forever be engraved in our hearts, as we bid you farewell. Rest peacefully Boram.
