Despite being on a group hiatus for nearly 2 years, BLACKPINK has maintained stable numbers on Spotify. This time, “Hard to Love” is their 22nd song to exceed 200 Million streams on the platform, make them the Female Group with the largest number of songs to reach this figure on Spotify.

“Hard to Love” is an upbeat dance, guitar pop, pop rock, and disco track with elements of city-pop, ’90s rock and roll, and “edgy” pop, whose lyrics revolve around a protagonist expressing hidden insecurities about their ability to be loved. Being released on September 16, 2022, as the fifth track of BLACKPINK’s second studio album, “Born Pink,” and sung by Rosé, the song has amassed a large number of fans around the world.
