K-Pop group aespa on Tuesday was the first officially announced act at Outside Lands 2023, as well as the first K-pop group to perform at the festival in its 15-year history.

In a news release, the group’s spokeswoman also said aespa is the only K-Pop group on this year’s lineup. Aespa will perform on the main stage, alongside Foo Fighters, Kendrick Lamar and ODESZA.

Outside Lands runs from Aug. 11 to 13 in Golden Gate Park. Three-days tickets for the festival are reportedly about to go on sale on March 8 at 10 a.m. at the festival’s website.

Aespa will also be the first K-pop group to perform at New York’s Governor’s Ball in June. The group performed at Coachella in Indio, Calif. in 2022. That year, it also made its U.S. TV debut on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” In July, aespa release Girls – The 2nd Mini Album, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart.
