Girl group Twice will release their fifth Japanese full-length album, ‘Dive’, on July 17, their agency JYP Entertainment announced on Wednesday.
The album is Twice’s first music release in Japan in seven months after their digital single “Dance Again” was released in December last year. The group’s fourth Japanese full-length album, “Celebrate”, was released in July 2022.
The announcement of the music release and Twice’s promotional photos for the album were first made on the group’s Japanese social media channels on Tuesday.
The album comes in time for Twice’s seventh anniversary since its “official” debut in Japan. The group released its four-track digital compilation, “What’s Twice?” in February 2017 before releasing its Japanese debut album “#Twice” in June of the same year. “#Twice,” a compilation album of the group’s biggest hits, was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan in October 2017 for surpassing 250,000 sales.
Twice is currently on its “Ready to be” world tour. The group will kick off its Japanese leg of the tour with two performances in Osaka on July 13 and 14. The group will be the first non-Japanese female artists to perform at the Nissan Stadium, with two concerts slated for July 27 and 28.
