After their debut in October 2023, YOUNG POSSE are back with their second EP “XXL,” now available. In their follow up to “MACARONI CHEESE,” the group was hands on for the process of making the five track EP. The members worked on the lyrics of the fourth track “My Name is (ROTY),” and the lyrics of the first track “Scars” also written by SUNHYE, YEONJUNG and JIANA.
These “Rookie of the Year” breakouts, Sunhye, Yeonjung, Jiana, Doeun and Jieun continue to imprint the group’s identity by telling their own stories through their music. . The music video for “XXL” was shot by Grammy nominated Ben Proulx. “XXL” lyrics and music video will show the pure desire for the girls to dream bigger and higher stage.
YOUNG POSSE feel a sense of pride and responsibility for promoting the cultural phenomenon that was unique to Korea in the 90s by the trio-group Seo Taiji and The Boys with their title song “Come Back Home” in 1995.
Now, almost 30 years later, YOUNG POSSE is turning back the clock to bring that same sound back into the K-pop scene by paying homage to the song “Come Back Home”

Who Are Young Posse?
YOUNG POSSE (영파씨) is a five member girl group under DSP Media and BEATS Entertainment. They made their debut on 18th October 2023 with the EP Macaroni Cheese.
Their name comes from the Latin word “posse”, which means “can do” or “possible”. YOUNG POSSE stands for “a group of young people who have come together with a purpose”, expressing the belief that we can achieve whatever we want by joining forces rather than going it alone.
Pre-debut
On the 6th of October 2021, BEATS Entertainment opened up SNS accounts and announced that they were holding auditions for an upcoming girl group.
Later in December 2022, it was discovered that BEATS Entertainment had registered trademarks for YOUNG POSSE, unofficially confirming the name of the upcoming girl group.
On the 22nd of June 2023, DSP Media officially announced that they were planning to launch a new five member girl group in the second half of 2023. The group will be produced in collaboration with BEATS Entertainment.
On the 1st of July 2023, DSP Media’s parent company RBW announced that the new DSP Media x BEATS Entertainment girl group called YOUNG POSSE will make a guest appearance at RBW’s first family concert RBW 2023 Summer Fes ~Over The Rainbow~ in Seoul on the 16th of July. They opened their SNS accounts on the same day.
On the 19th of July 2023, RBW revealed through their public information that YOUNG POSSE would be making their debut in September 2023.
2023: Debut with Macaroni Cheese
On 19 September, DSP Media released a debut trailer revealing that YOUNG POSSE would debut on 18 October with the EP Macaroni Cheese.
2024: “Young Posse Up”, XXL
On 20 January 2024 the group teased an upcoming remix for “Posse Up! On 22 January, the group released a teaser for the digital single “Young Posse Up”, which was due to be released on 4 February.
On 29th February it was announced that the group would be making a comeback on 20th March with their second EP. On 4th March the group released an artwork video for XXL.
