An exclusive interview with the 16 finalists from “UNIVERSE TICKET”, the first girl group audition program by SBS, one of Korea’s three major terrestrial broadcasting stations that handles many  popular K-POP music programs such as “BS Inkigayo” , has arrived.

“UNIVERSE TICKET” is the first girl group audition program for SBS, one of Korea’s three major terrestrial broadcasting stations, with a total production cost of 10 billion won (approximately 1.1 billion yen). In the program, 82 trainees who dream of debuting as K-Pop artists take on a special mission by giving meaning to the number 82, South Korea’s national code. At the final episode on Wednesday, January 17th ( live broadcast on ABEMA ), the remaining eight members will become a debut group and will be active for a limited period of 2 years and 6 months.

 Ahead of the live broadcast on January 17th (Wednesday) when the debut members will be decided, exclusive interviews with the 16 finalists have arrived. We asked her about her episodes on the program, how she came to appear on the show, and what kind of idol she aims to be.

Jin Hyun Joo

Age: 22 years old
Nationality: South Korea

Q:What made you want to appear on the program?
A: I debuted during the coronavirus pandemic and have worked hard so far, but I still lacked in many ways to let the team and myself be known. I want to show my singing and dancing to many people through “UNIVERSE TICKET”.

Q.What kind of idol would you like to be if you could debut?
A:I want to be an idol that many people think, “ That girl is good,” when they see me.

Jelly Danka

Q.What made you want to appear on the program?
A. I saw Universe Ticket as an unexpected opportunity for me to finally realize my dream. I didn’t know anything, but I was willing to try anything to do what I loved the most.

Q.What kind of idol would you like to be if you could debut?
A. I want to love, be loved, and make people smile. I hope all the hard work behind my success inspires others to find the strength to persevere, as I did, on the most difficult days.

Narumi 

Age: 17 years old
Nationality: Japan

Q: What made you want to appear on the program?
A: I thought it would be a big step towards my dream of becoming a K-POP artist, which I have always admired, so I decided to perform.

Q: What kind of idol would you like to be if you could debut?
A: I want to become a cool, sparkling idol who can inspire and love people all
over the world

Q.What is your most memorable moment while appearing on the show?
A: I was able to stand on stage by myself and perform in front of a large number of people, something I had always dreamed of doing. I felt a sense of accomplishment as I was able to show off what I had prepared so far. I wanted to continue to stand on such a big stage.

Lee Sun Woo

Age: 20 years old
Nationality: South Korea

Q: What made you want to appear on the program?
A: Up until now, I have dreamed of becoming a singer and have participated in other survival programs while trying to make my dream come true, so my life as a trainee was not short and I had a lot of worries. But I thought I had to try whatever I could, and I couldn’t just let the opportunity that was placed in front of me pass by, so I decided to try again. ! It was an important opportunity for me to get one step closer to my debut, and I decided to appear with the desire to show that I am better than before!

Q: What kind of idol would you like to be if you could debut?
A: I want to be a person who conveys happiness to many people! Throughout my life, I have gained a lot of strength and healing from the songs and performances of many artists, and have been able to learn and feel a variety of emotions. I feel like my youth is shining with that feeling! Just like I felt, I also want to convey happiness to many people through my songs and performances, and become an artist who will remain in the memories of someone’s youth.
